Chris Robey (left in photo) has a wealth of experience in a wide range of aircraft, flying for major airlines as a career aviator with an Air Transport Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) qualification. He has all the knowledge you will ever need on airspace and communications regulations and a natural gift for teaching, which will help you gain your qualifications while you learn from one of the best. With 12,000 hours' flight time, it is a privilege to have Chris managing our replicant 737 NG trainer.

Relying on the intensive expertise of strong management acumen for 23 years, Nad has lead companies across the Middle East and within Asia. Nad conceived SouthEast Airways to redefine the concept of air travel, for passengers to experience the difference of affordable luxury.

Besides managing the logistics, overall operations, start-up and general day-to-day running of SEA, Nad is also one of the pilots.

Besides being the Chief Pilot, Jeff has an extensive background with research into the customer experience of aviation travel, and he also acts as a business mentor and advisor for SouthEast Airways.

As if all of these talents weren't enough, Jeff has flown since 1995 with 5,000 hours to his credit. With Jeff's knowledge and input, you will experience the difference that is SouthEast Airways.

Extensive Pilot Training

  • There's no such thing as too much training. Our pilots are among the most experienced in the sky. Even so, twice a year, which is above the industry standard, we require them to attend proficiency evaluations by our chief pilot and grade one instructor Jeff Swain. These evaluations are in addition to those required by CASA regulations.


  • We spare no expense and do whatever it takes to ensure that you, your family and guests are safe. That's why we select from the very best pilots, performing rigorous background checks, and then provide additional training to make them even better.


Your Safety: Our Highest Priority

  • We have the most rigorous standards for safety, maintenance, training and operations in the industry, and we invest more time and resources into safety than any other charter operator.


  • All scheduled aircraft maintenance is done by the people who know the aircraft best - the original equipment manufacturers and their authorised support facilities.


The Story of SouthEast Airways: SEA


SouthEast Airlines - SEA - is the childhood dream of Founder and Chief Operating Officer Muhanad (Nad) Al-Atabi. Nad is a qualified civil and structural engineer with extensive international experience, having worked throughout Asia and the Middle East for 20 years. He gained expertise with the complexities of passenger transport from his travels, and in 2009 he also became a civilian pilot.

Having always loved aviation, Nad purchased his first airplane, a Piper Chieftain, in November 2010. From there, the idea of a company was conceived, and his aviation business dream was realised with the support of his Grad I Chief Flying Instructor Jeff Swain, who has become an invaluable mentor and business advisor.

Over the past five years, Nad and Jeff have been observing the needs of aviation travelers, looking to build a strong firm that understands the value of a customer's time and their need for flexible services, the prime concerns of all flying clientele. They conceived South East Airways, 'for your non-memorable experience', with an aim to provide comfort, luxury and class throughout their fleet and aviation service.


SEA has been sustained by the profits from Nad's successful construction business, while Jeff has selected and trained a team of expert pilots who excel above all industry standards, meeting the highest expectations of SEA. Their search for a unique pilot conversant enough to teach on the new Boeing 737 Simulator resulted in the appointment of Chris Robey as Chief Simulator Instructor.

Nad says: "I believe that we can change the General Aviation industry to meet the client's expectations." With the highest of aims and many years of hard work, SEA has established a diverse fleet of reliable aircraft offering comfort, luxury and class, and we look forward to welcoming you on board sometime soon.

Nad and his former flight instructor Jeff Swain conceived Southeast Airways. Besides managing the logistics, overall operations, start-up and general day-to-day running of SEA, Nad is also one of the pilots, with just over 300 hours' experience. Nad is also a Senior Civil Construction Engineer and has had a life-long interest in aviation since childhood.
Jeff Swain is our Chief Pilot and Chief Flight Instructor, as well as assisting Chris with the Simulator Training. Jeff has an extensive background with research into the customer experience of aviation travel, and he also acts as a business mentor and advisor for SouthEast Airways. As if all those talents weren't enough, Jeff has flown since 1995 with 5,000 hours to his credit. It is an honour to have Jeff on the team as Chief Pilot at SouthEast.
